take a whiff, give me feedback... this is the logo for our Rap ministry group "Alien Nation". consisting of artist other than "timeout" it will be a melting pot of rappers and poets, so on so forth... its going to be great!!!

Cool. I really like the font treatment, but as much as I like the character I don't think it fits this application...I'd make it simple, more iconic.
Overall good stuff.
I'm gonna have to disagree with Chip on this one. I like the first option better. It's better balanced and I don't think in this case it matters whether the logo and type treatment "Blend" Great job man!
I'm sticking with my first observation, I like the top illustration better than the bottom, but still think there's another solution that's more icon and less illustrative. I think Adam wanted to disagree just to disagree - starting to practice those dad skills:)
